It's All About Flour for Baking Season!
With baking season upon us we’d like present the different flours we have available – several just arrived in time for the season! We have plenty of the staples - fresh, organic Whole Wheat, Whole Wheat Pastry, and Unbleached White Flour with Germ. Many bakers prefer King Arthur Special Patent Flour, a “short patent” bread flour, for their projects. Here at South Coast we also feature a number of specialty flours – many of our customers like to use organic Buckwheat Flour for their gluten-free baking, it works well in pancakes, waffles, blintzes, crepes, muffins, and soba noodles. We also feature Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Flour, a blend of garbanzo bean flour, potato starch, whole grain white sorghum flour, tapioca flour and fava bean flour. We carry organic Barley Flour and Oat Flour if you’re looking to add new flavors or enhance nutrition to your bakes. Our organic Pumpernickel Rye Flour is favored by those looking to bake a dense, dark, and strongly flavored bread.
